Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Pet Parade - In conjunction with October Main Street night, the Franklin County Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a Pet Parade on Main. More details will be available soon, but in the mean time, start sprucing your pets for this fun event!

Plein Air Paint Out Weekend - As a part of October Main Street Night and continuing through the wekeend, the Plein Air painters will take to the streets of Brookville. In addition, the Brookville Library will hosts a program/speaker for the public. Charlene George, a local Metamora painter, will have her work exhibited at FCN Bank. There will be bonfire pots on the Courthouse lawn and live music for everyone's entertainment.

Metamora Corn Maze - The Metamora Corn Maze, specially carved out this year into a pattern of 36 circles will be open every weekend in October from 1:00-5:00. It costs just $5.00 to get lost which makes the corn maze a fun family activity. Proceeds from the corn maze go to the Whitewater Canal Trail to build, improve and sustain the trail. The corn maze is located at 18100 US 52 Metamora, Indiana--just one mile east of Historic Meamora and 30 miles from Cincinnati. Board the train in Metamora and ride to the corn maze or pull in from the highway, park and hop on a hay wagon to drop you off at the maze entrance. There are lots of other things for the kids to do-clues to find inside the maze, an old-fashioned corn sheller and an assortment of antique tools and such to take a look at.

42nd Annual Canal Days at Metamora - One of Indiana's most popular festival. You'll find hundreds of outside vendors including antiques, artist, crafts and collectibles all along the Whitewater canal and throughout the entire village of Metamora. Haunted Halloween Cruise in Metamora - Come spend a night in a safe but fun atmosphere. The Ben Franklin III will be decorated for night-time cruises on the 16th and 23th of October. Our staff will be dressed in costumes befitting the occasion. A storyteller will be on board to tell ghost stories and candy will be distributed to all participants at the end of the cruise. Rides at 7:30 p.m. 8:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. No reservation required. Cost $4.00 per person.
