We encourage everyone to use the Main Street Brookville website www.brookvilleindiana.com for all activities and events both on Main and in Franklin County. To date we've have nearly 1,500 unique visitors and we've noted spikes in visits the week of Main Street Nights each month and a big spike prior to Canoefest as an indication that folks are using the site to get information about events and activities.

2010 Gaston Walleye Tournament - The 2010 Gaston Walleye Tournament will take-off from Mounds Beach at Brookville Reservoir at approximately 8:00 am. To register, follow the URL listed below to the tournament application page.
Richard Gaston was accepted into the Indiana State Police Academy in 1998, fulfilling his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer. Just three months after being sworn in, Richard was killed when a tractor-trailer left the road and struck his squad car while he was conducting a routine traffic stop
From the website-- The fishing tournament was established in 1999 to raise money for the Richard T. Gaston Memorial Scholarship Fund. The fund awards at least five $2,000 scholarships each year to seniors graduating from his alma mater- Franklin County High School. Thus far, we have supported 52 college-bound seniors with a total of $102,000 in scholarship money. Our basis for awarding scholarships is quite simple. Recipients are chosen based mostly upon answers to an essay question.
